China still building coal power plants (and nuclear) because the Davos elites want cheap power for their factories. If it were a true emergency, elites would demand new coal power plants stop (not just the lip service of "we'll do it in the future" for China)... Also Chinese scientists would be saying to Xi ... This is serious, we're the biggest emitter, we're all going to die, and Xi would immediately halt for the sake of country and all Chinese. But not happening is it? 🤔 hmmmm...
You nailed it about carbon, such a low percentage of the atmosphere, and probably contributing the least to global warming, and Australia the lowest emitter of all (even negative emitter if you count the "carbon sinks" of miles and miles of bushland.

It's been a part of school curriculum for ages, plus they get a day off of school to protest, but it's all sanctioned by the schools and the government... Someone in a stack had said it well, that "the powers that be" doesn't like it when we protest against their narrative, but if it fits in, it is allowed, even encouraged... Going one better why not indoctrinate the kids at school with the divisive narratives and false doomsday crisis narrative so they come out compliant and angry, so they burn out their young energy on pointless issues, while the true issues of control and exploitation can carry on unchallenged in the background.

News stories always had, on any issue, "but opponents say..." Where you heard an opposing view, that may change your mind on an issue...

If they do acknowledge another viewpoint, it's no longer respectful, no "opponents say"... But "far right", "conspiracy theories", "antivaxxers"... Where's balance when you're already calling the opposing view derogatory names?? As a journalist it should be respectful engagement on a story, not smearing it to take a particular side...
But yes, if you spot the programming that is happening and seek out the other side, you may break free ... But many remain trapped, due to trusting the sources of information you are presented with and not knowing (or caring) to look any further.

Our kids have it tough as this is part of their foundational "education" now... and who wouldn't want an officially sanctioned day off school to protest climate change? It has two effects, indoctrinating kids and associating fun and bonding with climate change "issue"... It also looks good on TV, vast crowds, to sway public opinion... Think of the children type messaging, strengthening adult perception of an emergency... All theatre and propaganda of course, but that suits the elites purpose of control.
