I remember those days of flying. All dressed up! I lived OS in three different countries as a child. I always looked forwards to the fanciness of the flights. Immaculate stewardesses ,the nice food, and the movie. I did multiple flights on multiple airlines every year. It is pretty shit now days !! 😞

You must be an oldie like me to remember those days. Society in general was more immaculate. People went to baseball games in jacket and tie. It was a different world.

Expect poor service and you may get pleasantly surprised.

My last flight was with El Al to and from Israel. My granddaughter and I endured 2 security checkpoints. After being checked by airport security we were questioned thoroughly by an Israeli agent. Returning home was a very bad experience with grown men throwing their food on the floor and urine on toilet floors. A fight erupted near where we were sitting. Never again.

An Israeli friend told me he doesn't fly El Al. Today I think with most airlines it's hit and miss. From all the years of flying, I think Air New Zealand is the best. Mind you on the trip we just returned from, Air Fiji were quite good. The Fijian people made all the difference.

Flying with El Al was part of the tour package deal. My favorite has always been Delta, but I believe they are not quite as good now.
