I have long hoped that someone would make a film about the Tunguska event. Given the popularity of disaster films over the years, it would seem like a natural.
At least if there was near threat of being hit by an asteroid the panic would make sense.
But we would still see (probably the same suspects) working out how they could profit from it and manipulating things in an attempt to guarantee their own survival
I don't want to promote Netflix, but I am halfway through watching "Don't Look Up".
I am more of a Substack reading sort of person, but my marvellous son recommended me this film.
I am watching it through the lens of the current brain blindness, so, although it is meant to be for a climate triggered audience, well it ain't that bad, although I probably make harder work of it because I am not woke.

If it hit Silicon Valley, I would like to see how they would twist it. They would probably say that it was a Russian plot.

Need more popcorn.
Anyway it is about an asteroid.
Ha, ha, like that.
I share your sentiments. One minor typo correction: Tunguska event occurred in 1908, not 2008.
That will teach me not to proof read that one.
