You wont have any furniture to burn, pretty quick. Most of it not burnable, safely. I feel us being turned into scavengers, in the long run. On a lighter note, it is spring, still.
Someone I know has a Tesla. He and his family of four went on a road trip over Easter. The first town they were due to recharge at (just 250km away),had just had a storm and there was a blackout, so they had to stay the night. The next morning there were queues to recharge so they spent half the day waiting. They eventually spent one night at their destination and apparently it snowed. I mention this because the Tesla owner was excited that his car had a defrost function apparently which melted the snow covering his car. He didn’t seem too concerned about the limitations of his vehicle.
Interesting. I suppose he wasn't concerned about how much fossil fuel was burned and CO2 emitted to create the Tesla. I wonder how it would work in the outback? Not too many recharging stations there.
It is (not)concidental to NB that here in the UK, electricity / gas is also about 4 : 1 costwise.
This has always been so since the 1960s, everybody knew that electricity was much more expensive than anything else, it was the bleedin' obvious then, but not, apparently, now, despite the bills we all pay.
Instead we get, "Oh once the technology has been discovered..." or "When it i scaled up..." as arguments?! This is crazy talk.
Hi Ely, didn’t know another way to get hold of you but I wanted to share this link to the eclipse you’re going to have there. I’m sure you’re all up-to-date on all of this, but in case you’ve been too busy to keep up, thought I’d share this link. One of the commenters on skyandtelescope.com shared this so it’s probably a nicely produced video!
Thanks Bellatrix. I was in Exmouth in 2019. It’s a small town only about 3000 people, now it’s bursting with some homeowners charging $10,000 for a week’s accommodation! It’s famous for it’s tours of snorkeling with whale sharks which we did 4 years ago. Lovely spot.
They don’t seem to realize how an electric car charges... we’re being ruled by fools

Autumn where I am, but the weather is the least of our worries.
The future is already here.

Wish we were there! Hope weather cooperates! Update me on your viewing!
I won’t be there either. It’s an 11 hour drive from where I live plus there is nowhere to stay. Fully booked out.
Will you have a view from your town?
Agree 100%. Once we accept insanity it has a way of interfering with our ability to use logic.
