Dr Scott Atlas, Professor and Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University, has written an excellent article on how the American response to Covid went off the rails.
I do think Trump was well intended, like all humans he did make mistakes and this turned out to be a big one. I still think he handled it better than the Democrats and Biden did.
Either his ego wont let him admit he was wrong, or he is not as smart as he thinks he is. Intelligence is a very relative concept that some people feel makes them an expert on everything. To me true intelligence is knowing that I do not know everything and keep learning something new everyday. That is only my personal definition.
It’s well said Bert. I actually know someone who knows Trump, has been on lectures with him and has had meals with him—he lived in Trump Tower in NY. He said Trump is smart—no dummy. So either as you say, his ego won’t let him modify his course, or he lacks some critical thinking skills. I also think his selection of people around him was pretty poor, not just the Covid advisors but in many areas.
Wray was one of those examples you mentioned. Recommended by Christie of all people. Trump ran a great economy and understood economics and the art of the deal. He was also a great communicator and still is. I would vote for him again.
I'm so glad more people are writing about and speaking out about this travesty . It helps that you're supporting his work by writing about it. Good job, Ely. Please keep up the great work.

Dr Atlas is a man of great courage.
I understand the policy in the early part of 2020, but to this day Trump keeps touting the vaccines. Don’t get it.
Another thought is may have been in on the whole scam from the get go, we may never know for sure.
