When we think of moral clarity, we think of recognizing the difference between good and evil or right versus wrong. In theological terms, one might consider the existence of the devil or Lucifer as opposed to God. You can be an atheist and still recognize the difference between good and evil. Humans have an innate recognition of what constitutes evilness.
Unless you are in your 80s, you have no real-time memories of the atrocities committed by Hitler. You only have historical documentaries and films such as Judgement At Nuremberg and Schindler’s List. Some of you may have met survivors of the Holocaust who, in most cases, have kept quiet about their experiences. Many do not want to relive their experiences by discussing them. As a child, others, like Vera Sharav, were taken away to a concentration camp with her parents. Interestingly, Sharav is still alive and has been an outspoken critic of the Covid tyranny.
The despicable acts committed by Hamas very much remind people of the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazis. Jews were herded into railway box cars. Videos that Hamas took showed them herding young and old into vehicles and across into Gaza, a modern-day concentration camp for Jews.
So, as humans, we revile at acts of murder and mutilation of innocent citizens. We recognize––or at least anyone with a sense of morality recognizes––that these are despicable, immoral acts. The whole framework of legality is based on laws recognizing such immorality with appropriate punishment for such behaviour. Yet many in the West suspend this recognition and condone such conduct, including United States members of Congress like Rashida Tlaib, Ilan Omar and Ocasio Cortez. In Australia, we have our own Hamas apologist, Senator Linda Thorpe. These are dumb people who are clueless about the Middle East and the origins of the conflict, yet they are elected officials.
The Nuremberg Code, which emerged from the Holocaust, was meant to prevent another such event, which it hasn’t. Still, it was also intended to stop medical experimentation without consent which the Nazis were involved with. Now, in the case of Covid, it failed to do that.
The difference between the evilness of the Covid tyranny and Hamas is in degrees. Many doctors who initially were in the minority recognized the damage done to humanity by the COVID policies, from the lockdowns to the vaccines, and private citizens have also come on board. However, too many succumbed to all the mandates, from masks to restricted lives to jabbing themselves with a toxic substance.
The one difference between the Covid tyrants and Hamas is that with Covid, you could resist, albeit at a significant cost to your financial well-being and livelihood. The people who succumbed to Hamas’ terror had little choice.
So, have we benefitted from having this moral clarity?
In the case of COVID-19, those who refused to take the jab can feel confident that they didn’t inject themselves with the mRNA agent to unleash the toxic spike in their body, which has harmed so many others.
Concerning Hamas, there is no more equivocation about their clear intentions: eliminating the Jewish people. This has always been its intention––it’s clear from their charter.
Without moral clarity, we have a total breakdown of our society, and the end justifies the means.
Most of the people I follow on YT & social media - with similar views to me about the Russo-Ukraine war, more sympathetic to the Russian side - are now equally (more!) rabid about the poor oppressed Palestinians (who have taken every opportunity since 1948 to do whatever they can to destroy Israel, and have likewise ignored every opportunity to negotiate, improve their own lives, and live in peace).
What horrifies me is the attempt to justify this atrocity: eg "Can we really call it terrorism when people are trying to fight for their homes?"
-there is no understanding that cold-blooded face to face murder of civilians, including of children, is quite different from the collateral killing of civilians in a bombing attack - even though the mass murder of war is also something we should not condone or celebrate (IMO).
We are in a world where being able to claim the biggest degree of victimhood is itself power - and the Palestinians are doing best in this regard.
This weekend, there are pro-Palestinian rallies scheduled all over Australia. This has become even more inflammatory than any of the other issues of the past few years - and likely to only get worse.
While the official position of the Aussie government is to support Israel (because the US tells us who we have to support) it is almost amusing to see the mental contortions performed by the government, trying to reconcile their usual leftie policies with the official position of supporting Israel.
Israel is now in a no-win situation, because the media will keep pushing this one-sided view that the Palestinians are the good guys and being treated unfairly.
Not only the Holocaust, but also the fear of nuclear war seems to have been forgotten by this new generation. The US is strengthening its military presence - which may or may not help Israel, but all I can say is, Heaven help Israel if they are having to rely on Joe Biden for their continuing survival. (The US will continue to support Israel, as their outpost in the Middle East - but the interests of the US and Israel are not always aligned.)
Some of the anti-semitism we are seeing today, at least among the alternative groups I hang out with, has to do with the concept of (Jewish) evil bankers, in particular the Rothschild family, who do seem to have large control over the banking cabal who rule the world, and are trying to bring in the NWO. Some are now specifying these people as the "Khazarian mafia", and distinguishing them from "real" Jews - which doesn't really help to stop the blame game, as it includes the Ashkenazi Jews and many other ordinary people. And it is true, there were (and are) globalist interests behind the Zionist movement and the creation of the state of Israel.
But it all comes down to the blame game, the need to "other" an identifiable group of people who are supposedly responsible for whatever current troubles we are experiencing.
It's ironic that the very people who are protesting that it is unfair to punish the entire Gaza population for the evils of Hamas can't see that the opposite also applies: what does it accomplish to brutally murder Israeli civilians - and demonise those who support and mourn them - because of the actions of the Israeli government?
Yes, there are globalist forces behind the current Israeli government (as with our own country, Australia, and with most other Western countries too). But there are also the Israeli civilians who want peace for themselves and their communities, and are inadvertently caught up in the political power plays.
