I agree. It is time for Trump to bow out, in favor of Governor DeSantis as the leader of the Republican Party, but he won't. He has an enormous ego, as most successful people do. He was very good for the nation in many ways, but he was not astute enough to see that he was being played. He had an historic opportunity in North Korea, but that idiot Pompeo destroyed it. He tapped into a yearning of the public to drain the swamp, but but that is an impossible task. They are in charge, and they are protected by federal civil service laws. He was the first Republican presidential candidate I ever voted for in fifty years of voting, and I voted for him twice, but he clearly had a toxic effect on some of the candidates in 2022. Thank you, President Trump, but please retire gracefully.
Thanks Gary. Humbleness is a good value to have. It appears Trump lacks in that department. It's okay to admit mistakes and look ahead to course correct if need be. Otherwise, it's no different than being a Democrat. Dogma can destroy you. We can only hope.
I agree that Trump has not been helping his own cause (I myself was not impressed with his promotion of Operation Warp Speed) - but I don't think he deserves the blame for the recent election results.
Fact: the US voting procedure is a sham, with voting machines just happening to go down in the most hotly contested states.
Do you think it is just a coincidence that Republicans had such a victory in Florida, where DeSantis imposed the most rigorous vote protection measures?
Florida banned mass mail-in ballots, banned ballot harvesting, requires a voter ID, and Gov. DeSantis created an election police force.
However, the US system (like Australia) is rigged in a more pervasive way: no matter which candidate gets in, nothing much changes. Or if it does, that candidate quickly finds themselves subjected to termination (as we saw here in Australia in 1975 with the Whitlam government, and in recent years with any PM - from either party - who did not toe the party line being quickly ousted).
Maybe I'm being too cynical - but right now the US is busy escalating their latest war, more & more directly with Russia, and talking up nukes. Both Democrats & Republicans seem to be on board with this agenda, and any anti-war voices are being heavily suppressed (as we saw with the covid/pandemic lockdown policies).
And maybe we do see hopeful signs in the Florida win.
I didn't yet finish your article but what I've read so far; I totally agree with. It saddens me to know that there are so many who yet refuse to see what is so obvious. I too was a Trump supporter; NOT the man really; but his policies. (Probably like many others.) But when he left office with what seemed to me and some others to be a whimper; combined with the pushing of the jab, (NOT the 'mandating' officially; but the pushing/strong promoting of it), it was as if someone flipped a switch in me. It was like he suddenly became like a stale piece of bread. His time came; and it passed; and everyone who TOO closely followed him needs to move on for OUR sakes; and for the sake of this country.
Ely; I don't know if you allow us to add links on here or not; but I would LOVE for "Line In The Sand" (And you; and others) to look at two videos from "Hugo Talks". I don't know if you've ever heard/watched any of his videos before or not; I've watched a few of them and he seems to truly want to search for the truth; no matter WHAT the truth really is.
He has two videos in particular I'll share here and if you have to delete them; I totally understand; but I would ask that if you delete them from your page; that you look at them yourself and if you so choose; then YOU can add them to your site. I truly believe you will find them VERY informative and insightful; and filled with information that every Trump supporter (Or not) should be made aware of. Here are the links:
I apologize if I'm not supposed to add links on here; I'm not trying to break any rules intentionally; I promise. But I seriously ask that you consider watching both videos in their entirety; and then make your choice if you want to share them on your site; or not.
Thank you for the article. I know it takes bravery and courage to stand in the face of opposition; but in order to be right; it's many times necessary.
Cammie, I watched the two videos. Firstly, Trump's hyperbole when he said the vaccines saved tens of millions was stunning.
Also, Hugo is pointing out the contradictions in doctors speaking at Trump events. I don't know if people like McCullough and Kory actually spoke at his events, but let's assume they did. I can tell you from my many decades as a chiropractor that at seminars and conventions there will be some speakers who are a bit fringe. It doesn't mean that those speakers are endorsing those individuals. Also because of the gross censorship of many of those doctors, they have accepted invitations on other platforms to get their message out. If Trump accepts that, then he is being hypocritical; touting the vaccines while accepting speakers who contradict him.
I know that Drs Kory, McCullough and Robert Kennedy Jr are democrats. The traditional democrat believed in liberalism, the free exchange of ideas and thought which is actually the values being promulgated by the modern conservative movement.
Thank you so much for making the time to watch the videos, I appreciate it.
I agree; it was (And still is) shocking that even now; when I'm SURE Trump has heard/read/seen articles and stories of the COUNTLESS people who have died or suffered serious; life-altering effects from the Cov.19 jabs; that he says that they have saved 'tens of millions of lives." Though I still believe that he did in fact do a LOT of REALLY good things; it's hard for me to trust any person who promotes something that at this point especially; if not right away; has been proven lethal to so many.
You bring up good points about some of the doctors who have gone to some of the seminars/conventions possibly not endorsing everything that everyone there (The speakers/promoters) do; that's certainly possible. I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath-water. I just want to be very cautious.
It's also a good point you make about doctors Kory and McCullough and Robert Kennedy all being democrats, and how the 'free exchange of ideas and thought' that is usually associated with liberalism are things that are now being promulgated by todays conservative movement.
I think it's a good idea to have a balance of healthy skepticism mixed with a little bit of positivity when listening to almost anyone now; because there are so MANY voices out there speaking so MANY things; many of which run completely contrary to each other. I think many things are 'wait and see' situations. Everything usually pans out at some point if have the patience to wait it all out.
Concerning our health though; of course we have to do our due diligence in researching; almost endlessly; for ourselves. I think our world is overwhelmed with 'information' now. We have far too many sources of information; which can be good in one way; and terrible in another.
Anyway; thank you once again for watching the videos and sharing your insightful thoughts on both of them; I really do appreciate it.
Cammie, you appear to be very insightful and able to discern the situation logically and with critical thinking. I am not certain, but I’m starting to wonder if Trump is starting to show signs of early dementia and I’ll tell you why.
Over the years I have seen patients and others with certain traits that one may deem inappropriate, getting worse as they age and start to lose their cognitive abilities. One of these is the lack of restraint and inhibition.
Why is Trump name calling DeSantis and now Governor Youngkin? No one has announced as a candidate for 2024 and Trump is behaving as if there are primaries on with 16 candidates as there were in 2016. Also his self-aggrandizement seems to be getting worse. We shall see. If I am correct, it may get much worse in the next two years.
Thank you; you are too kind. It would not surprise me in the least if Trump has the beginnings of dementia for the very reasons you have stated.
I have relatives who suffered with dementia and some of them did become more 'outspoken' as the disease advanced; though I know that some people get ornery as they (We) age; there is a difference between that and having public; inappropriate outbursts towards people; especially when they are totally uncalled for. I hope that Mr. Trumps wife and family will see the signs for what they are; and will take the necessary steps to ensure that he gets the proper help he needs before he becomes another Joe Biden. I have been shocked at Trumps 'mystifying' and outrageous statements against DeSantis and Youngkin. Trump is, well, TRUMP; he says outlandish things at times; but NOT like THESE latest ones against these good men. No matter what I think of Trump or of Biden for that matter; it ALWAYS saddens me to see ANY person start to fail mentally or physically. I take no joy in any of it; it's always sad. I do hope that in fact Trumps family will do right by him; and will not let him be paraded around like Biden is allowed to be by his wife and family; not only to his detriment; but to the entire country; on the world's stage.
As you wrote, 'we shall see'. It will be a very 'interesting' time as we see how things play out with Trump.
That's fine Cammie. It's amazing the hostility from some Trump supporters. Unfortunately, some can't step back and take an objective look at the big picture.
It's sad; tragic really. I think that people on the 'right' were SO DESPERATE for 'SOMEONE' to lead them; SOMEONE to hear them; SOMEONE to advocate for them (Us); that many latched onto Trump HARD. It's a highly dangerous thing; to put THAT MUCH trust in ANY mere mortal. NO ONE is 'all that'. NO ONE.
Trump DID do a LOT of good things; which I readily give him credit for. But in our desperation; we overlooked all of the negative things about him; to our detriment.
People on the left called out those traits..."Petulance; arrogance, pettiness,", etc., but people on the right mocked them. True; the left didn't call out those negative traits to HELP people on the right; but STILL; mature people will HEED warnings...no matter WHICH direction they come from. And we didn't.
So now we have people who STILL feel desperate; who cling to a half-inflated life raft to 'save' them. It's a pity. MOVE ON; I want to say; move on.
I believe you will find "Hugo Talks" videos; not only the two I shared but maybe others; very good indeed. I would like to be able to know if you are able to watch the two I sent; and what your take is on them; if possible. But if not; no problem.
Again; thank you for the article. All that you shared MUST be said; by someone; it's up to us if we want to listen or not. I pray we do.
It's interesting to see the variety of comments on the issue of Trump. The man certainly is a focus of attention whether positive and negative. He did do a lot of good during his first term. All except for the Covid policy in which strangely, he seemed disempowered and deferred to Fauci and Birx.
He didn't have any choice. He was railroaded. He got the the HCQ and was immediately trashed in the worst ways. One person alone cannot drain the swamp. The entire medical establishment is very corrupt, and you are a part of it, although you claim to be better than average. You are on the correct side of the "vaccine" issue. They don't work and are very dangerous.
Stan, I hope Trump wins but he will have a difficult time. Rightly or wrongly, many in the middle will not vote for him. Sometimes he doesn't help himself. Preaching to the converted is great but he needs to get more converts. With the media blitz against him, it's a tough sell.
I would want him to win if he was the nominee. Trouble is, on his current track he won't win. I predicted his loss in 2020 for a number of reasons. I'd like to be proven wrong.
Maybe I 'see' the writing on the wall. I wish I had a bet before the 2020 election. All my American friends said, don't worry Trump will win. I told them he wouldn't. I knew that the whole Covid thing with the lockdowns would lose him the election. So I stand to be proven wrong.
I also predicted that someone will come out of the woodwork as a Presidential candidate for the democrats.in 2024.
Until someone better actually wins the Republicon Primary, I am too. Now is not the time to be going after Trump. Election integrity is a much bigger issue. If Trump is to lose, it should be in a genuine election.
Trumps an asshole and he has to go but he is not the reason the red wave did not happen. It’s a steal again!! Voting is a joke!! It means nothing. No ID!! Ballots mail to everyone in many states!!!!! Total BS. Voting Machines having glitches in all the deciding cities. Come on man!!
Nope. It’s not Trump but he doesn’t help because so many people have TDS. It is real and I think they somehow hypnotized people and all you have to do is say Trump and people lose their minds. Seriously. Oz was the wrong candidate from the beginning. Why did the GOP even back him? But. Anyone was better than Fetterman.. seriously. anyone!!! There is no way you can make me believe people voted for him just because Trump backed OZ. That’s just nonsense.
The Republicans and Dems are one in the same. They pretend to hate one another but behind the cameras they are all buddies. All on the same team. Stealing from the American people. Getting rich. They are all bringing down this once great country. This election proved to me we are done.
There will be more mandates. More censoring. More lockdowns. They have been given this power and they will never give it up.
Deb, in Australia we have no voter ID, but I don't think we have much fraud because of paper ballots. The Fetterman thing is beyond me. How any rational person could cast their vote for him, as bad as Oz was. Though I don't live in the U.S. I have investment interests over there plus what happens in the U.S. affects us here in Australia. I have lived in America and Canada as well, so I have a good awareness of how the systems operate.
Your bureaucracy is unbelievably incompetent. I have been waiting for a tax refund from the IRS for 6 months. Here is Australia, you get it within two weeks of your tax return submitted. It seems to be the same process just getting votes counted.
You may well be right, but I fear it makes no difference. The entire corporate press has been pounding Trump for SIX years with everything they could muster, fair or mostly foul. The next MAGA candidate will get more of the same and have a toxic reputation soon enough. Michigan and Pennsy have totally corrupt electoral systems and NO Republican, will ever win Statewide in either for the foreseeable future. Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada are close to the same, although change is possible but not assured. Without change in at least2 of the 5, states, there is NO WAY for an electoral college win for a republican, any republican. In this situation it might be wise to let Trump tilt at the windmills in '24 and run a better candidate in '28, if we even have elections then.
Joe, you may be right. Why is Trump attacking Desantis when he has not even announced. He just won Florida. He's just providing more fuel to the fire. I have a friend who knows Trump quite well. In private, he is not the persona that he projects. He needs to keep hammering his message and what he will do, not getting into petty squabbles. I'm not sure at his age, that he has the capacity to change. I am the same age as Trump and I know the psyche of the elderly. I have worked with many elderly people.
(Weasel voice, with a whistle) Any port in a storm, though he a weasel, he a pro American weasel. Its like life, His ability to make all sides uncomfortable is astounding, while mainting such huge loyalty amonst many, he is clearly not able to make reliable appointments. The makup / tanning lotion thing looks horrid and fake to me as well. Its so facade.
Here's the problem: American politics boils down to a choice between just two people. In most cases neither one is ideal. It's very obvious that many people hate Trump, but from my perspective he's one of the best presidents we ever had in spite of not being at all "presidential."
That's fine and I respect your viewpoint. I would love to be proven wrong because Trump, warts and all would be better than any democrat. So we shall see what ensues.
Trump Says His Endorsed Candidates Secured ‘Very Big Victory’ in Midterms
Former President Donald Trump on Nov. 9 acknowledged that the results of the midterm elections were not a total triumph, but they were still a “very big victory.”
Trump has also said that he is still scheduled to make a “very big announcement” at Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 15, given the victories at the ballot box. He revealed his decision on election eve, signaling that he may formally announce his 2024 White House bid that day.
“While in certain ways yesterday’s election was somewhat disappointing, from my personal standpoint it was a very big victory—219 WINS and 16 Losses in the General—Who has ever done better than that?” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social account on Wednesday.
Actually I think your article here is fairly accurate with regards to Trump's behavior. I'm not sure just how much of a feud he has with Desantis, could possibly be for show, yet I find it a bit disturbing, especially because I don't think Desantis wants to run for the White House. It is unfortunate that circular firing squads are common among conservatives. It would be refreshing to see more of that in the Democrat party.
We are all actually united; especially those of us who are focused on the issue of medical freedom, because that is about personal sovereignty. Those who are aware of this point would notice that both political parties seem to have the same infection; Collectivism.
In a society that is Individualistic, everyone is independent and self reliant. We cannot be willing to depend on a special "Hero" to help us see our sense of strength, nor trust in an institution of government that consistently tries to subjugate us. Rigged Elections are symptomatic of an Elite that thinks it owns us.
Evaluate each candidate according to how much they support your individual choices. The best government is the one that governs the least.
Trump's ideas were bold and perfect for the time. Too bad his ideas come with all of Trump's baggage. I agree with you. It's time to move on. Many purple voters and even republicans want someone else to run.
It's going to be ugly if Trump runs. He can't win and he will take the GOP down with him
Totally agree, and Desantis has proven himself. Trump could easily rise up and be a statesman with all the right policies. Unfortunately, he just can't move beyond himself.
He was cheated out of his rightful 2nd term. It's like the Medical Board going after McCullough now. I cant even get my teeth cleaned in Colorado without getting dental xrays according to the Colorado Dental Board. Not actually stated, but implied when they ruled against the actual truth in my particular case.
I guess we will find out next 18 months when primaries are over. I think Trump will basically run unopposed. Maybe a few goof balls will jump in but no one of any political significance.
Tune in to Steve Bannon’s War Room for more insights.
Bannon like a lot of talk show hosts suffers from Talk Show Host disease. They begin to think they know everything. Bannon has a good show with many excellent guests, but Bannon is not the head of the Republicon Party. He talks like he's the one who calls all the shots.
This explanation makes the most sense out of what has transpired. A classic RINO would be O'Dea who ran in Colorado. He was a Dem running on the Republican ticket. I'm sure the Deep State has a lot on Lady Lindsey. Mr. Reagan's analysis makes perfect sense. I think Trump's "Desanctimonious" comment was more about traditional Republicons than it was about Desantis who is most likely the front man for the Never-Trumpers.
Superficial, if that were the case you wouldn't have to do a whole persuasion article, now would you? I've no time for your conjecture. If you don't see it, you don't see it. It's getting easier to thin the herd, unsubscribed.
Superficial, if that were the case you wouldn't have to do a whole persuasion article, now would you? I have no more time for your conjecture. Good Bye.
I agree. It is time for Trump to bow out, in favor of Governor DeSantis as the leader of the Republican Party, but he won't. He has an enormous ego, as most successful people do. Yes, DeSantis is a worthy candidate in his own right, and Trump's hostility towards him does him (Trump) no credit.
Emerald Robinson also shows the counting spikes in many of the contested states:

However, the US system (like Australia) is rigged in a more pervasive way: no matter which candidate gets in, nothing much changes. Mara, I agree with your assessment. You make some valid points.
If you really believe this, you need to do a lot more research. So many wrong takes here. Unsubscribing.
I sure do. Goodbye.

Sure. No one can win against counterfeit ballots and machine swapped votes other than the completely demented with no actual popular support.
He didn’t lose.
That may be. However, with the rigging of the system whoever runs needs to be firing on all cylinders without frivolous distractions.
Maybe I 'see' the writing on the wall. I wish I had a bet before the 2020 election. All my American friends said, don't worry Trump will win. I told them he wouldn't. I knew that the whole Covid thing with the lockdowns would lose him the election. So I stand to be proven wrong.

Ely;
Respectfully, I’ll have to disagree with you on this one.

It's nice that President Trump views life optimistically, unlike illegitimate pretendent Biden who is obsessed with "dark winters."

He can't win and he will take the GOP down with him
Desantis is a superior candidate.
That's crazy.
I guess we will find out next 18 months when primaries are over. I think Trump will basically run unopposed. Maybe a few goof balls will jump in but no one of any political significance.
Tune in to Steve Bannon’s War Room for more insights.
Bannon's a bigger ass than Trump. He's a "Democratic" Party Republicon who can't keep his mouth shut. I have listened to almost every Warroom episode.
Are you saying he's a fraud?
Bannon like a lot of talk show hosts suffers from Talk Show Host disease. They begin to think they know everything. Bannon has a good show with many excellent guests, but Bannon is not the head of the Republicon Party. He talks like he's the one who calls all the shots.
I guess some get swelled heads.
You're likely correct. I doubt that Desantis would want to run against Trump
He may want to honour Floridians and stay the course for his term. Unless...something drastic happens with Trump; indictment or health issue.

Good Bye.
