Why Some People Can't Get Covid Even If They Try hard

My youngest daughter got Covid a few days ago. So far, it has behaved like a mild cold. However, she asked me, "Dad, how come you haven't gotten Covid?" So that got me thinking, why have I been spared? I haven't been vaccinated, which perturbs some. 

All my children and grandchildren have experienced Covid. Only one grandchild has been spared. Why? Almost all my friends and neighbours have had it as well. 

Notice I mentioned all but one in my family were infected? Yet he lives in a household where everyone was spreading it. Did the virus happen to go around him? Did he duck just in time to avoid getting hit by the virus? 

Some would say, aha, this means viruses don't exist; something else is making people sick. That's another falsehood making the rounds today. Viruses were discovered in the early 1900s and were first visualized in the 1930s when electron microscopes were developed. These can give magnification up to 3 million times. Thousands of virologists and countless papers have been published on the subject, so viruses exist. They have evolved over millions of years. There have been more than 100 different viruses discovered in the human body. So why doesn't everyone get sick when they encounter a virus?

We know that the aerosol droplets that carry viral particles can spread far and wide within a building; outdoors, they quickly dissipate. When heating or air conditioning is on in a house or office building, the particles can move well beyond their origin. So what is the secret as to why some don't get sick?

In chiropractic, we have often stated the following truism: "Diseases don't make you sick; they happen to you because you are sick, to begin with". In other words, the microbe may be the disease agent, but it doesn't give you the condition if the body's immune system defends against it. Some people's systems are stronger than others. Look at the person next to you. They are as different on the inside as they are on the outside.

A paper in the Journal of Nature clearly points out that an early warning and protection system can stop a viral illness, and you won't even know that your body has fought it off.

An innate antiviral pathway acting before interferons at epithelial surfaces

The paper confirms that our bodies have an Innate Immune system activated at the surface of our mucous membranes before triggering the other aspects of our immune systems. If the viruses and bacteria do not overcome this system, we neutralize the microbe without knowing it. It's what we have been saying for a long time. A healthy body is less susceptible to viral or bacterial illness, while an unhealthy body succumbs much easier.

Genetic tendencies and differences influence whether we get sick or not. Notice that some people seem to get sick from the slightest contact with others, despite taking great precautions?

Recently there has been some evidence that whether you get Covid or not is influenced by your blood type.

Research has shown that more people with A or AB blood types are susceptible to Covid, while type O is more resistant. The jury is still out on this topic because I can attest that I am blood type A and have resisted Covid so far.

Proper nutrition, including vitamins and minerals, are also essential in maintaining a healthy immune system.

So the answer is to get the body into a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Hey, that's the definition of Health according to the World Health Organization. Do you hear anyone promoting this? Are any politicians or medical organizations mentioning this? No, it's all about the vaccines, or now the antivirals. 

Meanwhile, the health experts still ban the use of Ivermectin which is the safest drug known and has proven itself even as a prophylactic. Here is probably the most extensive study ever done on Ivermectin with 223,000 people in Brazil.

In this large PSM study, regular use of Ivermectin as a prophylactic agent was associated with significantly reduced COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and mortality rates.

The authors concluded: "In this large PSM study, regular use of ivermectin as a prophylactic agent was associated with significantly reduced COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and mortality rates."

So there is a lot that you can do to ensure that you don't get Covid. There are no guarantees; the "vaccines" have proven this true. However, you want to do the right things to increase your odds of preventing Covid or, for that matter, any other infectious ailment.
