Donald Trump had a sit-down interview with Megyn Kelly on her show yesterday. It mainly was softball, but Kelly did confront him somewhat on the Covid issue. Even now, with all the opportunity to set the record straight and admit that mistakes were made and that the vaccines were a failure, he goes back to his standard line of "saving 100 million lives". The only thing is he implies Democrats think that not him.
He also makes several false claims, one of which was that Florida closed down, and Kelly caught him in that lie when she said it was for one month, unlike most other states. He also ignored the topic that there were many vaccine injuries. He had the opportunity to address the issue but instead went on to other topics. I'd like to know how some vaccine-injured people feel about his attitude. In fact, at times, he almost played the victim. "I never got the credit that I deserved with Covid."
Trump keeps obfuscating, deflecting and projecting. He has to keep the aura of invincibility intact. Humbleness is not his strong suit.
Then we have Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, who acknowledged mistakes but saw that he had to change direction once he got the data. His policies were at odds with the Trump administration because he did not blindly follow Fauci, who was wrong on so many things. It falls on Trump because he chose Fauci as his head man on the task force.
Watch the interview with DeSantis on the Steve Deace Show.
Hate or love Trump, voting for him is a defense of the constitution because as the cliche goes "They are really after you, Trump is just in the way."
Here is a simple question, does one believe that Trump would force vaccinations on one? - it's the use of force that is the bigger question (I am not vaccinated and never will be - for me it's obvious).
I agree, Trump has lost all credibility.
And with his claim to be able to end the Ukraine war: Putin scoffed at that, just the other day, saying that the US under Trump had imposed more sanctions on Russia than every before.
I still don't like the unfairness of the way they are going after Trump, while giving the Biden family a free pass. But I've stopped wanting to support Trump, after he abandoned Julian Assange to the wolves of empire.
There is such a thing as integrity.
