This Octogenarian Needs To Retire And Fast As Possible

What is it with America and its octogenarians? Now I'm not promoting elder abuse or ageism. After all, I'm not very far off that 80-year mark. I know people in their 80s and 90s who are very sharp. I have held seminars for senior groups encouraging them to live more fulfilling lives. Several years ago, I co-wrote a book, Relationship Secrets For Sexy Seniors––before you run away, it wasn't really about sex. It was about creating and maintaining healthy relationships.

Some seniors live active and fulfilling careers beyond 100. 

Take Leila Denmark, a Pediatrician from Georgia who retired at age 103.

If you have your faculties and find something fulfilling to do, why retire at a set age? 

Back to America. Octogenarians are in leadership positions, but they are an embarrassment. 

There is Nancy Pelosi, 81, who is Speaker of the House. She famously stated, "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it…". She said that a few years ago, but today, her discombobulated thinking is very much in evidence. It’s the logic that thinks, “We have to vaccinate the kids to find out if it works”. Oh wait, someone did say that.

Next, we have the U.S. President, Joe Biden, turning 80 this year. This man has been in a cognitive decline for a few years. It is so embarrassing to watch the man speak. He often garbles his words. He can't remember who people around him are, doesn't know where he is, aggressively attacks people who disagree with him, and even makes racist comments. Remember, "If you don't vote for me, you ain't black"? He stated this on a show called The Breakfast Club. Imagine, in race-sensitive America, those comments went without any scrutiny.

My mother passed away from Alzheimer's. I would never have allowed her as a public figure to display her condition. It's a sad indictment of the Biden family.

Finally, there is the highest-paid and sexiest man––as his admirers refer to him–– in the U.S. government; none other than Anthony Fauci, age 81. He is the head of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and earns $434,000 a year.

Many of us remember his aggressive actions during the AIDS epidemic, which were counterproductive and resulted in unnecessary deaths. This time currently as head of the Covid-19 task force, it makes you question how such a man, with supposedly impeccable credentials, can be so foolish and, frankly, unscientific. He is known as Mr Flip-Flop. You may have seen this video clip before, but here is just a sampling of his pronouncements about masks.

Recently, in another flip-flop, Fauci actually did speak the truth. He countered the narrative that children are hospitalized in record numbers due to Covid. This is what he just stated when he reversed himself:

"If you look at the children that are hospitalized, many of them are hospitalized with Covid, as opposed to because of Covid."

Thank you, Dr Fauci; you've earned your $434,000. Now would you please retire!
