The West Australian Premier Needs To Resign - By His Own Standards He Failed
How many people in the state of West Australia remember this media statement by Premier, McGowan?
Mark McGowan holds tough ZERO COVID stance even when WA reaches 80 per cent vaccination target

At the time, we and others said that it was irrational to think you could stop a virus. Notwithstanding that we knew from the science and data that masks and lockdowns don’t work, the Premier and his health department agents continued with their delusion. I would say delusions of grandeur to think they could eliminate a virus.
He was following the same path as the Prime Minister of New Zealand. Both bragged about how they had policies that would stop the virus. So it was zero net policies, not on climate change but on Covid-19.
Just last month, McGowan mocked the leader of New South Wales because West Australia outdid NSW in Covid testing.
WA Premier takes another dig at NSW for handling of COVID-19 pandemic
Whoopee! Since when is success measured by testing healthy people for a a respiratory infectious illness? But McGowan couldn’t resist mocking. I do believe the man has a personality disorder. He revels in the pain he can cause others. Remember he is the man who said, “I want to make life miserable for the anti-vaxers.”
So what is McGowan saying today? Well as of Thursday March 10, West Australia had a record number of cases.
‘This is going to get difficult’: Western Australia nears most dangerous time in Omicron wave as ICU cases rise
Despite all the shots, and boosters in many cases, here is the cumulative curve:
How is that working out with all those “vaccinated”? Oh wait, of course, you blame the unvaxed. Sorry, the reality is that the vaxed now have greater susceptibility to Covid and studies show that the vaccinated harbour higher viral loads if they get infected. The term “vaccinated” has lost its meaning.
Scientists: Fully vaccinated carry 251 times the Covid viral load as unvaccinated
So Mr McGowan, how can you stand up at press conferences and tell us with a straight face, it’s important to get the jab. I give McGowan a resounding F. If a leader uses rational Covid policy; focusing on isolating the most vulnerable and letting people get on with their lives, that makes sense. Instead we get the continuation of stupidity, like mandating mask wearing, including now for children eight and older.
How is our cousin across the Tasman Sea doing? Jacinta Ardern, NZ PM, also committed to stopping Covid in its tracks.
Another oops. It didn't quite work out for Jacinta as well.
Both Mr McGowan and Ms Ardern are flailing at this point. It's time for them to get out of the way and resign. No doubt, they won't. Politicians can say and do what they want with little fear of accountability.
