The Values Which The West Once Owned Are Now Disowned

In case you haven’t noticed, western society is undergoing a tumultous upheaval. Values once revered are now desecrated and dishonoured. It really is occurring through all walks of life. Perhaps the most vital is the fact that atheism is so pervasive in our society. We no longer worship or honour a God. However, as I like to say, atheism is a belief system, and if you ‘believe’ that you know there is nothing else, then you have replaced the traditional God with yourself. Atheists believe there is nothing beyond our mortal physical plane.

It’s important to define what we mean by a God. To some it means that there is a Father somewhere in heaven who rules our universe. For others it represents the Grand Organized Design. The developers of chiropractic, D.D. and B.J. Palmer referred to a Universal Intelligence.

If you believe in an organized design or intelligence then you appreciate that as part of the universe we each express intelligence throughout our being. Some have referred to this as the God within.

In our society today, there has been a concerted effort to eliminate God and religion. Most schools no longer teach any of the tenets of religion. In fact, there is a strategy to destroy religious institutions, which is what the Marxists did in those countries where communism gained a foothold.

If you eliminate God or religion, you create a void. Whatever you preceive as a void––something missing––results in you seeking out how to fill that void. Doing so drives your values. So voids drive values and if we perceive that there is no God, then what do we do? We replace it with something else. You might say, it’s our new God.
