Is Trump versus Biden the best that America can do? If things go according to plan, the 2024 Presidential race will likely be between Trump and Biden. Both are old; if Biden becomes President, at the inauguration, he will be 82, while Trump will be 78. Everyone knows that Biden is mentally challenged and has been so for several years. It's even more remarkable that Trump didn't fare well in the last debate with Biden in the 2020 election.
Recently, there have been signs that Trump's mental acuity is diminishing. Some of the statements he has made appear discombobulated. Whether or not this is due to his ongoing legal problems or whether it's a sign of ageing is open for debate. However, today's Trump is not the one who came down the escalator in 2015. Some see it, while others are so locked into the Trump phenomenon that they refuse to accept contrarian views.
We know that Biden has been a disaster for America on many levels. America and the world were better off under Trump, but there is a fantasy about Trump that he is a take-charge guy. Ken Cuccinelli, former Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security under Trump, points out that Trump didn’t follow through on many of his ideas.
This was similar to what Dr Scott Atlas, former White House Covid Task Force adviser, found. Trump refused to listen to Atlas on COVID policy despite Atlas' extensive knowledge. Trump paid the price of listening to Fauci and Birx. Atlas was correct, and Fauci and friends were wrong. In the end, Atlas resigned. This was highlighted in the book A Plague Upon Our House. Atlas was shocked at the lack of scientific knowledge shown by the task force team. They made the policies on lockdowns, including the closure of schools, which were detrimental to a broad spectrum of society.
Even to this day, Trump keeps touting his COVID policy. Talk about being tone-deaf, or maybe he isn’t but can’t admit to anything that might be a stain on his persona. This is what he said at the recent Florida Freedom Summit.
It wasn't just Trump's Covid policy that was disastrous and probably cost him the election. He failed to address the violent BLM riots of 2020, he continued reckless spending, and his choice of cabinet members was poor.
While I prefer Trump to Biden, the problem is that so much is focused on what Trump tweets with irrelevant nonsense, such as the boots that Ron DeSantis wears or calling him derogatory names, which he thinks is funny but smacks of childishness. How about dealing with your policies, and instead of constantly trashing DeSantis, focus on Biden. The chaos in the world today is not due to Ron DeSantis; it's squarely on Biden.
The problem with narcissistic-dominant personalities is that everything is done to elevate one's self. Often, such individuals are actually insecure.
Here are a few characteristics of Narcissistic Personality Disorder from DSM-5, the manual of psychiatric disorders.
Self-perception of being unique, superior, and associated with high-status people and institutions.
Needing constant admiration from others.
Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others.
Exploitative of others to achieve personal gain.
Intensely jealous of others and the belief that others are equally jealous of them.
As I stated, is this the best that America can do in 2024? Elections do have consequences.
No, brother. The best Americans can do is run their own lives. They are all created equal. Each one should take his own place among the powers of the earth. The political system is a circus. It's too keep people distracted. It doesn't change anything.
Is there truly anyone in America who thinks Biden is a viable candidate? He wasn't a viable candidate last time and has proven over and over again how awful he really is. Forget that he's a traitor, a liar, a cheat and probably a pedo. He's brought us to the brink of another world war for goodness sake. He is really just a puppet and someone else is pulling the strings.....likely Obama who is also controlled. Trump had a great economy, no war, and tried to deregulate and downsize the government. What else could Americans want or need?
