I wonder how many Americans wish they could go back to 2020, even with Covid on the rampage. While Donald Trump had his failings––like not firing Tony Fauci––the world was undoubtedly more ordered.
Since Joe Biden took over the Presidency, it's been the amateur hour with one disaster after another.
In January 2021, the Chinese humiliated the American delegation at the bilateral talks in China.
Biden, who bought in with the fraudulent Russia collusion, failed to engage in meaningful talks with Putin. What Putin is doing in Ukraine is despicable. However, in November 2021, Putin stated he would not tolerate Ukraine as a Nato state with missiles at the Russian border. Now, just a couple of months later, we know the result. America would never tolerate a foreign nuclear power with missiles at its edge.
On August 30, 2021, the U.S. pulled out of Afghanistan, not in an orderly way, but in a cowardly retreat. The result was the death of 13 U.S. servicemen, Afghans falling to their deaths from U.S. transport planes and the abandonment of billions of military hardware to the Taliban. Getting out of Afghanistan was not the issue; it's the way it was done. A total disaster that made America look weak and incompetent.
Then there were the policies of the Biden administration, such as launching a war on fossil fuels, accelerated money printing and reckless government spending. The result is inflation figures we didn't think we would see any time soon.
Inflation accelerated to 8.5% in March, the highest since 1981
The actual inflation rate is much higher than the "official" rate. It is, in reality, well over 15%. Over the years, they have fudged the numbers by picking a selected basket of items, so inflation doesn't look quite as bad––but bad it is.
The most disingenuous thing is how Biden and his talking heads blame the inflation rate on Putin. They really do think the public is stupid. When Trump left office, the U.S. inflation rate was 1.6%. Immediately under Biden, the inflation rate started to rise precipitously.
The chart below demonstrates the upward inflation trend right after Biden was inaugurated. No one in the administration just wants to take responsibility for the situation, so how can they solve it?
The Reserve Bank's current inflation rate is pegged at just over 3% in Australia.
Give us a break. This is a total con.
Gasoline prices rose 60%. See the graph below.
For a while, in recent weeks, the price per litre in Perth hit $2.20 a litre (USD 8.36). We have never seen prices this high.
Of all the Biden's incompetent policies, inflation has the most far-reaching effects. It affects everyone on a global level. Inflation is an added tax whether you live in Perth, New York or London. At the moment, it is outpacing wages significantly.
We all can see it eroding our spending capacity every day, and we are all paying the price for disastrous U.S. policies. We have another 31 months to go of this administration. Recent polls show that Americans have little faith that the situation will get better soon. They are correct, and I can't foresee things changing unless politicians do an about-turn which they are loathed to do.
First thing first - Just watch the below 1minute video and you'll be able to understand the underlying tectonic shifts. This was unthinkable before 2021.

Amerika is governed by the clone of an elected president - may be an extra terrestrial being from Mars or Pluto!!!
Spot on Ely. Biden is mentally not fit to run the presidency. It's humiliating to see him doddering around looking lost at various official events. It makes one wonder who is really pulling the strings in the administration
