Something Vital Was Lost In The Past few Years: We May Never Regain It

There are four pillars in any successful relationship: Trust, Respect, Commitment and Communication. The relationship may be between a couple, a child and parent, an employer and employee, or an athlete and coach. There is one other area where these pillars apply; that is between a government and its people. Since early in the era of Covid, it became evident that many governments reliquished, in particular, the trust and respect of the people.

There were frequent pronouncements by government officials about the Covid policy that probably forever damaged the relationship between the government and its voters. Here is a list to ponder:

• Two weeks to stop the spread of Covid - FALSE

• Masks are effective - FALSE

• Lockdowns will prevent the virus from entering the community - FALSE

• The vaccines are 95% effective - FALSE

• The vaccines are safe - FALSE

• Ivermectin doesn’t work - FALSE

• Hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work - FALSE

• The unvaccinated are superspreaders - FALSE

• The vaccines stop the transmission of Covid - FALSE

• Paxlovid is an effective antiviral - FALSE

• There is no early treatment for Covid - FALSE

• The spike protein stays in the deltoid muscle - FALSE

• Mass vaccination will eliminate the virus - FALSE

• Vaccine side effects are rare - FALSE

There is one TRUE thing. Governments, bureaucracies, media and medical licensing boards did everything in their power to suppress early treatment and attempted to destroy the careers of bona fide medical specialists. They also sought to divide the populace based on vaccinated or unvaccinated.

So why would you trust the government? They don’t respect you for the right to bodily autonomy. Regarding communication, the government was instrumental in miscommunication, the very thing they accused others of doing. They failed us miserably. Now that everyone knows the reality that Covid is something we’ll have to live with, it’s on to the next crisis. What could that be? I wonder.

Oh yes, it’s Climate Change and the hysteria that we are in a climate emergency. Why would you believe what governments are saying? You see, there is NO Climate Emergency! It is a scam.

Dr Richard Richard S. Lindzen, Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, stated the following to the Irish Climate Science Forum:

“In punching away at the clear shortcomings of the narrative of climate alarm, we have, perhaps, missed the most serious shortcoming: namely that the whole narrative is pretty absurd…In case you retain any skepticism, there is John Kerry’s claim that climate (unlike physics and chemistry) is simple enough for any child to understand. Presumably, if you can’t see the existential danger of CO2, you’re a stupid denier.”

These climate alarmists fail to tell you that the current rise in global temperatures–about one degree in the past 100 years–has come off a cold trough called the “Little Ice Age” from 1300 to 1850. Things didn’t fare too well during this period. Throughout the 1600s and 1700s, the Thames River in London regularly froze. There were famines and plagues with disease rampant. We know this to be true today because when is the peak season for colds and cases of flu? It’s winter, of course.

COLD KILLS 20 TIMES MORE PEOPLE THAN HEAT

Look at the chart of CO2 emissions below, from the mid-1700s. We see how these have increased, but now they are dropping in the U.S. and the European Union. 

Besides some beneficial warming, do we want to return to the mid-1800s? Plentiful and efficient energy built modern civilization. While the west is intent on destroying oil and gas, China pushes on. We cannot survive without oil and gas. If we are delusional enough to believe that at this point in our technological advancement, we can go to net zero emissions, it would have an explosive effect on human civilization.

As Alex Stein, in his book, Fossil Future, states:

“Fossil fuels are still the dominant source of energy around the world. And fossil fuel is still growing. “Renewable” solar and wind are just 3 per cent of the world’s energy.”

Stein contends that we need more oil, not less. It raises everyone and makes energy production and life, in general, more efficient. Do we want to go back to burning wood in fireplaces? Modern-day efficiencies have reduced air pollution, which is healthier for all. 

Unfortunately, climate change hysteria has pervaded western culture, education and governmental policies. Many don’t believe a word of it. How can one respect these government actions? Rational thinking is needed. Until someone in government stands up to resist a potential calamity caused by demolishing the fossil fuel industry, governments will not regain the trust and respect of the people.
