How come we have age limits for pilots, surgeons and even those in the younger crowd who display incompetence that is a danger to the public? Yet, when it comes to piloting a country, we have no such parameters.
Take a look at those in leadership in the USA. President Biden is 80, and a very frail one at that. Then there is Mitch McConnell (81), the minority leader in the Senate, who has always looked older than his years and recently had a TIA––Transient Ischemic Attack or mini-stroke. Donald Trump is the same age as me, 77. The Senate Majority leader is Chuck Schumer, who is 73. The only one in leadership who is not a senior is the House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy age 58.
It hit me that we are witnessing American leadership akin to the ex-Soviet Union. All the leaders, bar one of the Soviet Union, exited the stage in their 70s, mainly because they died. There was one, however, Gorbachev, who was 58 when the Soviet Union broke up. He was the one who had the vision of Glasnost, a new openness which led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
So the question arises: why is America, with a population of 330 million, relying on geriatrics for leadership? While seniors can lead fulfilling and inspiring lives and continue to work in some capacity, the reality is that you are not the same person at 75 as you are at 40. I still practice as a chiropractor but on a part-time basis. Physically, stooping over patients becomes more stressful. So I have modified how I do my job. I have also channelled my abilities into giving presentations, as I did earlier last week, along with writing.
Two issues come up as people age. Firstly, some, such as Biden and even Nancy Pelosi––ex-Speaker of the House––show obvious signs of cognitive decline. Then there are other characteristics, such as rigidity which is quite common. Our bodies become more sclerotic, which also affects our minds to some degree. This can be more subtle. When you become sclerotic, you become less flexible in body and mind. Mental flexibility means you can adapt to change more readily and change course. My kids often accuse me of being rigid. They may be correct––sometimes.
This brings me to Donald Trump. Eight years later, Trump is not the same person we first saw coming down the escalator of Trump Tower in 2015. For all the good that Trump did up to 2020, his presidency was hijacked by Fauci and Birx, who took control of Covid policy. He acquiesced to their policy, even when it became apparent that things were going astray. That ruined his presidency.
The day before Trump left office, he gave awards for Operation Warp Speed to Fauci and Birx.

The problem is that Trump doesn't change course two and a half years later. There is no accountability for the disaster of Covid, not just the vaccine debacle, but also the social and financial effects we still feel today. This speaks of rigidity, a refusal to change course.
David Stockman of the Brownstone Institute, a freedom-loving thinker, eloquently put it in a lengthy article. Here are a few quotes from Stockman:
"To be sure, all of this Covid-fighting mayhem was cooked up by Deep State apparatchiks led by Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx. But they got turned loose on the American economy and public only because the Donald latched onto their misbegotten schemes to "stop the spread" as an opportunity for the Great Man in the Oval Office to rescue the nation from an alleged existential threat to society.
Except, Covid wasn't a Black Plague at all and didn't merit any kind of extraordinary Federal intervention. And even a moderately principled conservative could have found plenty of evidence for that truth in February and March 2020 when the lockdowns and public hysteria were being unleashed."
"From the very beginning of the pandemic, in fact, there were legions of pedigreed epidemiologists and other scientists like professors John Ioannidis of Stanford, Martin Kuldorff of Harvard, Sunetra Gupta of Oxford, Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford, Harvey Risch of Yale, and Scott Atlas of the Hoover Institute, among countless others, who strongly opposed the Lockdown regime and sweeping set of public health interventions which accompanied it."
"Many of these dissenting experts later signed the Great Barrington Declaration in October 2020, which correctly held that viruses cannot be extinguished via draconian quarantines and other clumsy one-size-fits-all public health interventions."
The other way Trump shows rigidity is about the stolen election in 2020. There were many irregularities in the election, but almost three years later, has anyone made inroads on providing tangible evidence that will stand in a court of law? Yes, U.S. presidential elections have been beset by accusations of election rigging, including the Gore-Bush election of 2000 and the Kennedy-Nixon election of 1960.
Let's make no mistake; they are out for Trump's scalp. You would think he would have that awareness after two impeachments. However, Trump is so narcissistic, and his hubris is such that he believes he can do as he pleases without repercussions. He, of all people, should know to cross the "t's" and dot the "i's". Instead, what does he do? He admits on a recording of having in his possession classified documents and discussing them with others. Hillary Clinton did the same thing, but we all know she was untouchable. What's worse for Trump is a couple of his surrogates, like Rudy Giuliani, have admitted to making false statements.
Giuliani Concedes He Made Public Comments Falsely Claiming Georgia Election Workers Committed Fraud
Several other Trump officials testified that they attempted to convince Trump to let it go.
So Trump is hanging on to the election steal. Meanwhile, about a thousand followers are languishing in jail for believing in him. Instead of articulating a policy he goes on the attack against DeSantis by having his surrogates claim DeSantis of colluding with the Biden campaign and the Department of Justice to create fake charges. How ridiculous can you get?
It is time for a younger, clear-headed person to lead America. Once you hit 70, it's time to get out of politics. There should also be term limits. Some politicians, like Biden, have been in the game for 50 years. That's also preposterous. Nancy Pelosi ex-Speaker of the House, is still in the House at 83. Have you heard the gibberish coming out of her mouth at times?
While they're at it, politicians should be drug tested annually as a condition of serving. Even some legal drugs can have adverse effects that can cloud cognition. Just because someone is young doesn't mean they can't be impaired by drugs.
Saying all this; however, there is a high probability that Trump will get re-elected. Why? Because unless things get markedly worse for people, most like the show and as we all know, Trump is a showman, no matter his age.
Yes Trump warp speed just a puppet to elite with no morals and indirectly a killer with the clot shots he agreed to.
Get the old git off to a home and get Kennedy in . Bobby Kennedy for office I only wish we had him in the UK. Grate point and fact Ely
