Will Covid ever end? Certainly, narcissists like Fauci don't want it to end. Every day he's on media selling his wares, contradictory and inaccurate as they are. He's now on the every 6 months booster kick. Well, let's dream and think about Covid being no more than annoying the flu, and we get on with our lives happily ever after.
But wait, there's a new kid on the block. You guessed it, Climate Change. Yes, the ramblings of Greta will adorn our TV screens with more of,
"This is all wrong. I shouldn't be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you?"
Not to be outdone, Green New Deal aficionado Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex (AOC) will spout more of,
"The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don't address climate change."
Okay, Greta and AOC, I'll address your hyperbole right here.
Increasing Frequency Of Storms
The prevalent narrative is that severe storms, like hurricanes––cyclones in the Southern Hemisphere––, and tornadoes are becoming more frequent.
I happen to be an amateur storm chaser. Before Covid, I would travel to America most springs with radar in tow to chase those phenomenal tornadoes on the plains of America. Tornadoes are actually quite fascinating. They can appear spontaneously, are unpredictable and can have the strongest winds. The strongest EF-5s can create winds above 300 mph.
What does the data say?
As you can see on the chart, strong tornadoes are on a downward decline, especially since 2010.
This is even more striking since everyone today has a smartphone, so more get reported. One hundred years ago, few were reported, and with the lack of technology, there was no way to get an accurate count.
Despite that, the worst, long-travelled tornado since records were kept was in 1925–– often called the Tri-State Tornado. It was on the ground for over 200 miles.
The trend is the same for Hurricanes and Cyclones. They are certainly not increasing in frequency or intensity. The media likes to hype up any occurrence to beef up their climate change narrative.
Polar Ice Caps Will Melt
In December 2007, Al Gore, Climate Change/Global Warming guru, stated, "scientists reported with unprecedented alarm that the North Polar icecap is, in their words, 'falling off a cliff.'" The former vice president also warned that rising temperatures were "a planetary emergency and a threat to the survival of our civilization."
He also stated, "Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years."
Wrong, wrong, Mr Gore. It never happened. Has anyone called him out on that? He is probably right now pushing out his prediction for another seven years. This climate alarmism is unconscionable. In fact, the polar ice is now at the second-highest level in the past 15 years.
Permanent Drought
In Australia, we have our own Climate Change guru, Dr Tim Flannery. He is not a Climatologist but a Mammalogist and Palaeontologist. He has made predictions of permanent drought in Australia. He was wrong.
In 2007 he claimed, "Brisbane and Adelaide – home to a combined total of three million people – could run out of water by year's end;."
He also stated, "…this is the most extreme and the most dangerous situation arising from climate change facing any country in the world right now."
Then in 2011 and 2013, Brisbane and the state of Queensland were hit by record flooding, which saw downtown Brisbane underwater. The was an overabundance of water. Of course, this is not unusual for Australia. It is the driest continent and regularly goes through periods of drought.
The ideologues pushing the Climate Change agenda have no idea what life would be like without oil. It's not just about fuel for your car. There are some 400 different products that are derivatives from the refining of petroleum. Just some of them are listed below from the U.S. Energy Commission.
What do you think life would be life without these products? What would AOC do without her makeup and bright red lipstick? Fossil fuels have given us the standard of living and healthy lifestyles that modern societies enjoy.
I am not opposed to alternative forms of energy. Our home is powered by solar panels. It makes sense here in Perth because of our abundant sunshine. It saves us considerable money, particularly for six months of the year. However, to believe that we can simply rely on wind and solar energy is folly. This past winter in the state of Texas, we were shown how things can go wrong.
Though rich in oil, Texas has gone all-in for wind power, with 25% of its energy-driven from the wind. The problem is that the wind doesn't always blow. In addition, last winter, during a severe cold snap, the turbines froze solid.
To make up for the shortfall, gas-powered plants which stored gas were out of luck because the pumps that move the gas run on electricity. So, of course, they didn't work during the power outage. The result was that 40 people died, some attempting to keep warm by running their vehicles and succumbing to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Here again, rational, balanced and thoughtful strategies are the order of the day. Extremism has no place in energy policy.
Notice: If you want to read an excellent book on the Covid corruption involving Anthony Fauci and others, read Robert F. Kennedy's, The Real Anthony Fauci: Big Pharma's Global War on Democracy, Humanity, and Public Health'. It is only $2.99 as an ebook.
Think it is time NOAH rolled out his Ark; again; for a RESTART to"Life as We Knew It!!!"
