The conservative publication American Thinker, in its July 28 publication, had an article titled:
Ivermectin Has Surprising Potential Against Cancer
Perhaps we shouldn’t get too excited because it wasn’t on national news, but it is a well-read online publication. It certainly contrasts with the fake ‘fact-checkers’ online who keep contending that Ivermectin has no value in the treatment of COVID-19. These ‘fact-checkers’ are more like spin doctors–they have no idea. Ivermectin is beyond valuable for COVID-19. As the article states, it has potential in cancer treatment.
They cite the case of Paul Mann, who had stage 4 prostate cancer, which was untreatable, so what did he have to lose? Oncologist Kathleen Ruddy suggested he try a course of Ivermectin. To everyone’s surprise, he has gone into remission, with some of the metastatic lesions either disappearing or shrinking.
The American Journal of Therapeurtics In 2021 reviewed the meta data from multiple sources and these were the 11 points supporting the efficacy of Ivermectin.
Since 2012, multiple in vitro studies have demonstrated that Ivermectin inhibits the replication of many viruses, including influenza, Zika, Dengue, and others.
Ivermectin inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication and binding to host tissue through several observed and proposed mechanisms.
Ivermectin has potent anti-inflammatory properties with in vitro data demonstrating profound inhibition of both cytokine production and transcription of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), the most potent mediator of inflammation.
Ivermectin significantly diminishes viral load and protects against organ damage in multiple animal models when infected with SARS-CoV-2 or similar coronaviruses.
Ivermectin prevents transmission and development of COVID-19 disease in those exposed to infected patients.
Ivermectin hastens recovery and prevents deterioration in patients with mild to moderate disease treated early after symptoms.
Ivermectin hastens recovery and avoidance of ICU admission and death in hospitalized patients.
Ivermectin reduces mortality in critically ill patients with COVID-19.
Ivermectin leads to temporally associated reductions in case fatality rates in regions after ivermectin distribution campaigns.
The safety, availability, and cost of Ivermectin are nearly unparalleled given its low incidence of important drug interactions along with only mild and rare side effects observed in almost 40 years of use and billions of doses administered.
The World Health Organization has long included Ivermectin on its “List of Essential Medicines.”
Here is the conclusion:
“Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using Ivermectin. Using Ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that Ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.”
Despite being proven effective from multiple sources, there are still enough sources, given the complexity of the media, that claim it’s ineffective. This is from the Mayo Clinic, which the search engine Google placed in the first line: “Claims that ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, or chloroquine can treat COVID-19 are false.”
It’s too bad there can be no criminal charges brought against these outlets that provide false news, which sadly has cost many lives. This certainly vindicates people like Dr Pierre Kory, who wrote The War on Ivermectin, and Professor Brett Weinstein, who has promoted the benefits of Ivermectin on his podcast.
In an ordinary world, federal health agencies in the U.S., Australia, and other Western countries would fund more research into Ivermectin, a safe, cheap drug derived from the soil whose discoverer won a Nobel Prize. Without the government directly funding such research, there is zero chance that Big Pharma would get involved. There is no money in Ivermectin, and what would happen to their precious vaccines if it was officially acknowledged that Ivermectin is effective against Covid or a host of other infectious conditions. Even more, if it has a role to play in cancer, it would disrupt the big bucks that go into conventional cancer treatments.
It appears the only way to fight these forces, which have profits as their primary goal rather than people’s health, is through the courts. Recently, the Front Line Critical Care Consortium (FLCCC) took the FDA to court and won a judgment regarding Ivermectin. On their website, they state:
“A settlement has been reached between the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the plaintiffs in a groundbreaking case filed in federal court to decide if the FDA violated its authority as a federal health agency in telling the public to stop taking Ivermectin, a safe, well-studied, and proven drug for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
In the settlement, the FDA agreed to remove website and social media posts that make statements about using Ivermectin for COVID-19.”
It’s a small win, one of many battles ahead.
