Several years ago, when my wife was pregnant with our first child, her OB.GYN doctor said she had the HPV virus and that she would need to have a C-section. The C-section was going to happen no matter what because our child was sitting inside the womb. After my wife gave birth, she followed up with her OB/GYN doctor and he tested her again and she returned HPV positive and had precancerous cells on her cervix. He recommended that she would need a hysterectomy to prevent cervical cancer. I had my doubts and do not believe in Germ or Viral theories but I am not medical doctor and just an investigator. I did my research and found several HPV studies that showed Shiitake mushrooms killed the alleged HPV virus and had a very high success rate. I had my wife take Shiitake mushroom capsules and follow the recommended dosage from the study. After six months, she went to see her OB/GYN doctor and he tested her again for the HPV and it returned negative. He was dumbfounded and said it was a false negative. She told him of the Shiitake study and he dismissed it and ordered another HPV test. The second HPV test returned negative. He performed a few more HPV tests every three months and all returned negative. He looked at her cervix and it was normal and healthy and told her she does not need a hysterectomy. She's been HPV negative for 7 years and we suspect that she was HPV negative and had false positive HPV tests because of her pregnancy, stress and extra nutritional demands on her body from the pregnancy. Did the Shiitake mushrooms help? Yes. I believe proper nutrition, sunshine, nutritional supplements help our bodies detox itself from the toxins in the air we breathe, water/fluids we drink and the foods we eat.
