Last Saturday, Australia hit a speed bump and took a turn to the left. The country wasn't exactly setting speeding records, but economically we were doing okay.
The man elected as Prime Minister is Albert Albanese. Why does he resemble Joe Biden? During the recent election campaign, he bumbled his way, often forgetting critical points of his own platform and other times just not able to answer questions. Does that sound familiar?
While Biden is clearly in a state of mental decline, Albanese is not; he just doesn't appear to be the brightest kid on the block. If we look at policy, both leaders and their backers are leftists. To add fuel to the swing to the left, the Green Party increased its vote while the centre-of-right Freedom Parties did not win a seat.
Australia has what I consider a strange voting system that can lead to anomalies. Most democracies, including the Commonwealth countries, have voting systems where the one with the most votes—first past the post—wins the seat.
There is a Preferential System in which the winner may actually be the loser in Australia. Unless a candidate gets a 51% majority on the primary count, secondary votes according to the voter's numbered preferences come into play. At every round of counting, the one with the least votes is eliminated. This goes on until you are left with one that has a 51% majority.
At the time of writing, the Liberal-National Coalition—so-called conservatives—have almost 10% more votes than the left-wing Labor Party. Yet Labor has 26% more seats in the new Parliament. Figure that one out.
The new government's policies will probably closely align with the Biden government. Both are obsessed with 'climate change’. They are avid supporters of the ineffective Covid injections and are fiscally irresponsible.
If we follow Biden's plan, we'll be in serious trouble. The Biden presidency has been a disaster. His war on fossil fuels to get to net-zero emissions of CO2 is mad. We see the effects: record-high fuel prices, supply shortages, and inflation not seen in over 40 years. Then there is the foreign policy ineptitude, reckless spending and wide-open illegal immigration.
The Labor and Greens support the policy of net-zero emissions by eliminating fossil fuels. They will likely encourage illegal immigration, which was their previous policy. Out of control spending will probably be the hallmark of this administration as it was of the previous one, which was supposed to be 'conservative'. Of course, all in the name of Covid, money was handed out like candy.
Speaking of Covid, the new Australian government is likely to be in lockstep with Biden's unjust war on constituents pushing the Covid 'vaccines'. In Australia, the most ruthless Covid policies were in Labor-run states. Yet, the Federal election saw a significant swing to the Labor Party.
So what does that say about a good chunk of the public? Many Aussies are happy to submit to totalitarian government edicts to stay 'safe'. These are the people I see walking around with masks when there is no requirement to wear them.
You cannot have liberty and stay totally safe. If you want the ultimate safety and security, prison is probably the best place. In prison, you are locked up, you get three square meals a day and even, in many cases, the use of a computer.
There is no doubt about it; by their votes, many Australians elected for the new world order where the globalist policies will reign supreme. We shall see how much suffering the average person will tolerate in the next three years before they wake up and say enough is enough. In the U.S., Biden's dismal polls show that Americans have reached that point now.
Berejiklian was pretty shitty when she was there. Only Tasmania as a non Labor State Government otherwise right?
Agree though, the Labor Premiers have not covered themselves in glory although the 'Australian' media will tell you different.
