Yesterday Donald Trump entered the Republican Convention in Milwaukee with a bandaged ear; it was a different Trump. He looked subdued, there was not the usual glint in his eye, and he appeared perhaps reflective. It was to be expected, after all, he had just been shot and escaped death by a centimetre. The adrenaline rush during the incident would have worn off.
On the final night of the convention, Trump will deliver his speech. He has stated that he tore up his original remarks in light of events. Trump has the opportunity to give a presidential speech with a call for the cessation of verbal hostilities and character assassinations, instead, focusing on the issues and policies. This would contrast him dramatically with Joe Biden who is like the little boy crying wolf too many times. Who is a danger to democracy? Biden, or rather his handlers have been projecting their actions onto Trump.
While Biden tries to pathetically speak of toning down the rhetoric, it doesn’t ring true. The rhetoric is phony, as the hatred for Trump by Biden and his collaborators is extreme. The only reason they are changing their verbiage is for political reasons. People see that the constant attacks on Trump have set off a deranged mind.
Some are now considering the possibility that the assassination attempt was intentional, and only by some divine intervention, Trump’s life was saved. However, it didn’t save the supporter near the front who died trying to save his family.
Listen to this interview with a former Green Beret sniper who wants to remain anyonymous. Was it just gross incompetence by the Secret Service or was it intentional? You decide.
Some supporters want Trump to be his fiery self, to seek revenge in response to recent events and to criticize Biden's performance as president. These events include the open border, the failure in Afghanistan, and the DEI agenda, which also resulted in the Secret Service's failure to properly protect Trump. Despite these failings, Trump has the opportunity to rise above and initiate a healing process. If he can impress independent voters and those in the middle, he could win by a landslide and begin to steer the country away from the disastrous Biden presidency.
I'm thankful Trump survived the assassination attempt, and l pray for his safety.
This is a deep-state action to take out Trump *before* the nomination and *before* the VP selection, but Trump hit back immediately on both counts plus the RFK Jr conversation (closing ranks) as life-insurance (I picked this up from the latest Viva Frei and Barnes at the RNC) - brilliant.
