Australia Don’t Complain. You Voted For The Climate Change Cultists

Last night the new Australian government, the left-wing Labor Party, brought down the 2022-23 budget. One primary focus was on climate change. This government is determined, much like the Biden administration, to eliminate fossil fuels by 2050 or sooner. This is nothing more than a cult; the everyday person will be treated with disdain and bear the brunt of emotional pain from reckless policies.

According to these climate cultists, oil is terrible, as is coal. Natural gas is clean, yet that is to be eliminated. Nuclear energy? It's not even a consideration. In Australia, it's all about solar, wind, and electric vehicles. We are told these are sustainable. There is nothing sustainable about wind and solar. In fact, fossil fuels have sustained us during peak and off-peak loads because they are not subject to the whims of wind or sun.

Apparently, most Australians are okay with this. Last year a survey done when the previous government was in power showed that 61% wanted emissions reduced by 50% by 2030.

"Electricity and gas prices are expected to rise sharply over the next two years, as the cost of energy market disruptions are passed through to households,"

As stated in the budget, according to Treasury assumptions, retail electricity prices are set to increase by an average of 20 per cent in late 2022 and by a further 30 per cent in 2023–24. Isn't that great? A 50% price increase within a year. Of course, it matters little to the elitist snobs in the wealthy enclaves of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. But this could have devastating financial effects on the average John or Mary. 

Then we have the budget policy to exempt eligible electric cars from a fringe benefits tax and the five per cent import tariff. This will result in a saving of $4700 a year for an electric vehicle. Additional removal of customs duties could save another $2500.

So apparently, most Australians are okay with this, as is Tesla. I'm sure Elon Musk really needs the assistance of the Australian government. It just shows how they follow whatever they are told without question. The same way that they accepted the 'vaccines' are​ 'safe and effective' is the way that they accepted the propaganda of the climate change cultists.

Australia is already at Net Zero

As Professor Ian Plimer states,

"Australian forests absorb 940 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum compared to our domestic and industrial emissions of 417 million tonnes. Add to that the absorption of carbon dioxide in continental Australia to the carbon dioxide adsorption of 2,500,000 square kilometres of continental shelf waters and Australia sequesters some five times as much carbon dioxide as it emits. Australia does more than its share of the heavy lifting for global sequestration of carbon dioxide. 

Australia's net contribution to global atmospheric carbon dioxide is negative. We are already at Net Zero."

This nonsense is so unnecessary. We will destroy our standard of living, the thing that has served us so well. Once people start dying from heat or cold because they can't afford to heat or cool their homes, reality may sink in. It's already starting to happen in Europe.

But no, the climate fanatics want complete capitulation, and like some suicidal death march, our idiotic leaders are willing to comply.

So Australia, I don't want any more complaints. You voted for these leftists and will have no choice but to join their cult.
