When I say America is red, I don’t mean Communist, though listening to the media, you might think that is true. I am referring to the last presidential election.
In the last election, Donald Trump won 84% of all U.S. countries, yet he lost the Presidential election.
I was at a party on the weekend, and a couple of Australian friends asked me how the electoral college system works for electing a U.S. President. I explained that whoever wins the most votes in that state received that state’s delegates to the electoral college based on a state’s population.
The system seems skewed to some. You can have one or two metropolitan areas vote Democrat (blue) heavily in a state where a Republican (red) wins most of the counties yet loses the state in the presidential tally.
So as far as land mass, most of America is right of centre and Republican. We shall see how this plays out in today’s mid-term elections in the Senate and the House. These two Congressional bodies are not reliant on the electoral college system. We shall see if the principle of “the balance of powers” plays out and negates President Biden’s disastrous policies..
Our silver tongued, self-adoring, “Father of the Vaccine” has proven to be a liability to the Republican Party. He has to go for the Republican Party to have a future.
There will be some improvement beginning January 3rd, but the U.S. government is so corrupt, the swamp ("deep state," "permanent government") is so vast that little will change, and we will go blundering forward to our eventual demise. We certainly can't trust our elections because the software which counts the votes is proprietary. Easy enough for a programmer to weight votes, for example, giving a Democrat vote a value of 1.1, and a Republican vote 0.9. There are much more sophisticated means than this, of course. The voters, however, are not allowed to see how their vote is counted because these are trade secrets. I do expect that Senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul will make some of the weasels squirm, and perhaps some indictments, although this is at the discretion of the thoroughly corrupt Department of Justice. What we really need for justice for the victims of this iatrogenocide is a Nuremberg II, but there is no mechanism in U.S. law to bring this about.
