Advance Australia Fair is the national anthem. The “Fair” refers to beauty, but it could be taken as fair meaning, honest or impartial. The first two lines of the song are:
“Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;”
These are all nice words, “fair” and “free”, but are they just that—words?
Slowly but surely, freedom is being eroded. As journalist Rebeka Barnett points out in her article below, Zuckerberg’s Meta and Pfizer are tipping the scales in one direction in an upcoming referendum.
Who do these people think they are? They are not Australian and should mind their own business. No doubt, our government overlords in Australia are lapping it up. People cannot be free when manipulated to vote a certain way.
I wonder if the process of Australia's referendum is a threat to non Australian powerful entities ? Actually asking the whole population what their view is, is the opposite to suppression of the views of the majority of the population which has been the pattern in recent years.
If there is a plan/ desire at some level to run Western countries as totalitarian states instead of democracies then the experience of democracy in action would be of great interest globally.
Maybe that explains a desire to exert power and control by non Australian entities.
This comes from Ted Kuntz founder of Vaccine Choice Canada here in Toronto CHINADA.
I feel exactly the same.
In August 2022 Dr. Michael Yeadon wrote – “Everything that’s happened and is happening becomes much simpler and it all makes sense, only when you force yourself to think the impossible. If you experimentally adopt the position that OUR GOVERNMENT IS ACTIVELY WORKING TO HARM US, TO DISMANTLE MODERN SOCIETY & ENSLAVE ALL PEOPLE IN A DIGITALLY CONTROLLED TOTALITARIAN WORLD, it all fits.” Dr. Yeadon wrote this under the title – The Most Important Single Message I’ve Ever Written.
I share this now as I suggest Dr. Yeadon’s words are an accurate portrayal of our current state of affairs, and the last twelve months have only added further evidence that our governments are the biggest threat we face today. This is rather alarming for those of us who grew up thinking we were fortunate to be citizens in one of the best countries in the world. And the threat isn’t limited to our governments. It now pervades all of our major public institutions: all levels of government, legacy media, universities, big corporations, public schools, public health authorities, law enforcement, professional regulators and, increasingly, the courts.
I have to admit that some days I’m still in a state of disbelief. It’s hard to fathom that the very foundations of our civil society could have evaporated so easily with only a relative handful of people in visible opposition to the tyranny. We don’t want to accept that evil exists. I have no doubt now that evil exists and will have its way with us unless we see it for what it is and call it out.
We have work to do. We have to rebuild our society based on a foundation of individual rights, responsibilities and freedoms including the freedom to speak, assemble, dissent, bodily sovereignty and the right to evaluate the level of risk we are willing to take for ourselves and our children. And these freedoms must prevail regardless of any perceived state of emergency, otherwise we will live in a constant state of emergency.
