In January 2022, I wrote about the difference between Florida and West Australia insofar as the attitudes of their respective leaders. Ron Desantis I viewed as a mature leader respecting his citizenry, granting them the freedom to make their own health choices. On the contrary, I viewed Mark McGown, leader of West Australia, as an immature, unjust, and rather thoughtless leader. His dictatorial persona has really come out with the pandemic. My opinion has not changed.
As exemplified in this article, let's just go back and refresh what McGowan stated back in August 2021.
Coronavirus crisis: Mark McGowan’s zero policy even after 80 per cent have had jab
What's stunning is McGowan stating, "We will crush and kill the virus," believing that he could have zero Covid. Well, how has that worked out?
Meanwhile, by September 2020, Desantis removed all Covid restrictions in Florida. In West Australia, we only eliminated vaccine and mask mandates recently from things like bars and restaurants; however, they are still in place in some areas.
So let's look at some comparative data.
The following graphs comparing Florida and West Australia look pretty similar.
The difference is that cases in West Australia started to take off in 2022 despite higher "vaccination" rates. Yes, the vaccines that aren't vaccines. Florida has indeed had more Covid cases and deaths than West Australia. To better understand why, look at a comparative statistics chart between the two states.
A couple of things are very noticeable. Florida has 57% more seniors than West Australia. Probably half of them are Canadians who immigrated to escape the Canadian cold. This is important in the context of Covid-19. According to the CDC, seniors 65 to 74 have a 65 times higher risk of death from Covid than those aged 18 to 29.
The other important factor is population density. The more packed in people are, the greater the chance of transmission of cases. That is the basis for social distancing.
So how big is West Australia? It's huge. It would be the largest state by area if it was in America. You could put Alaska and Texas into West Australia, and you still have room left over. Now imagine the city of Chicago––not the suburbs––, just the city itself, that is the population of West Australia. It's one of the least densely populated places on earth.
Then Australia itself is isolated because it is an island nation. West Australia is even more isolated from the rest of the country because of a great big desert to the east. In fact, the closest major city to Perth, the capital, is Adelaide, which is a distance of 2139 kilometres (1328 miles) by road.
The pesky virus has made inroads in the state despite the aforementioned factors. The Premier looks very foolish about having zero Covid. Has he learned anything? It doesn't look that way because he will now extend the "state of emergency" into 2023. What emergency?
COVID in WA: Premier Mark McGowan wants to extend state of emergency powers until 2023
Mr McGowan, an emergency would be if 500 Chinese warships came down the West Australian coast; that would be an emergency!
We are dealing with unserious people. If Covid was such an emergency, they would be pulling out all stops meaning encouraging early treatment with Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Fluvoxamine and getting the population to make sure they had high levels of vitamin D, C and zinc. Prevention and early treatment always make more sense. International studies back this up. On the contrary, the "vaccines" have been a disaster.
Tomorrow, May 21 is Federal Election Day in Australia. Many have been working hard, fighting for a restoration of the freedoms that have been eroded since Covid-19 arrived on the scene.
If you live in Western Austalia consider joining the WA Freedom Alliance. This is a hub for ongoing events such as protests and marches, and media and medical resources. The battle to fully restore our freedoms will be a long one.
Why use logarithmic scales for WA and linear for florida? Could you link to the sources of the graphs?
McGowan gives me the impression of being tightly welded into the CCP establishment that builds ships amongst other things.
