Who would have thought that after eight years, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is as bad as ever? This is exemplified by actor Robert DeNiro.

Then, someone named Lea Delaria begs Joe Biden to assassinate Trump.
There is a mass psychosis that is tipping over into psychopathy. It's not to be laughed at; it's becoming dangerous.
But it goes beyond Hollywood and politicians. Even within the Supreme Court, there is delusion. You expect the Supreme Court justices to be beyond hysteria and psychosis. Yet, this week, we have seen a disgusting display from Justice Sotomayor.
By a vote of 6-3, the Supreme Court ruled that the President has immunity from official acts but not for unofficial acts. It sounds reasonable. Yet Justice Sotomayor in her dissent regarding the Court's decisions, stated the following:
"Looking beyond the fate of this particular prosecution, the long-term consequences of today's decision are stark. The Court effectively creates a law-free zone around the President, upsetting the status quo that has existed since the Founding. This new official-acts immunity now "lies about like a loaded weapon" for any President that wishes to place his own interests, his own political survival, or his own financial gain, above the interests of the Nation. Korematsu v. United States, 323 U. S. 214, 246 (1944) (Jackson,J., dissenting). The President of the United States is the most powerful person in the country, and possibly the world. When he uses his official powers in any way, under the majority's reasoning, he now will be insulated from criminal prosecution. Orders the Navy's Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival? Immune. Organizes a military coup to hold onto power? Immune. Takes a bribe in exchange for a pardon? Immune. Immune, immune, immune."
You can see the vitriol in her statement with the repeated words, 'immune, immune, immune'. As many legal scholars have stated, this does not allow the President to use the seal team to assassinate his opponent. That is outside his jurisdiction.
The Supreme Court declared three types of conduct apply to a president: core immunity, presumptive immunity,and private conduct.
Core immunity is the actions for which the President has complete immunity, such as selecting staff, overseeing the Justice Department, securing the border and taking action against terrorists. Presumptive immunity is assumed to protect the President, but it can ultimately be adjudicated in the courts. Engaging in rape constitutes private conduct, so there is no immunity from prosecution.
Interestingly, the left is so outraged, yet by their very actions against Trump with lawfare, they are usurping the very democracy they say they are protecting.
The anger over Trump is so over the top that it's a mass hysteria. He has literally been described by every name in the book. Yet, it's interesting that as President, he didn't do any of the things ascribed to him. Meanwhile, Biden has signed more dictatorial Presidential orders than any other president.

You could list 10 others. Trump is not perfect by any means. He does stretch the truth at times and is narcissistic. However, some of the other characteristics attributed to him are ridiculous. During Trump's presidency, there were no major wars, and ISIS was decimated. Trump's team succeeded in peace negotiations between Israel and the Gulf Arab states. He engaged with friends and enemies to tone down the threat of hostilities. He also returned America to economic pre-eminence for the first three years of his presidency.
So the idea that Trump would start a war is dangerous, and his being dictatorial is ridiculous. In fact, when Covid hit in the last year of his presidency, he appeared to hand over the reins to Fauci and Birx, so much for being an autocrat. The most ridiculous one is that Trump is antisemitic. Trump's daughter and grandchildren are Jewish, and his very actions were pro-Israeli.
Everyone has positive and negative traits, so you may not like Trump as a person or agree with his policies, but to ascribe irrational descriptions to Trump is over the top. What is happening today is just an extension of the past eight years of Trump.
TDS became a widespread Democrat epidemic, which started with the Hillary campaign smearing Trump and his supporters with the whole Russia hoax. It carried on with the FBI spying on Trump campaign advisors Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis. Then there was Alexander Vindman, National Security Council adviser, who testified about Trump's phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. Of course, we had the two impeachments, all of which fed into the Trump presidency filled with fake news in the media. Now we have the legal assault against Trump, most notably with the fake 34 felonies in New York.
So, it's back to why TDS is pervasive in American society?
Some of it, of course, is plain old envy. People like De Niro, who grew up in New York like Trump, are no longer relevant. Trump, an outsider, bold, and in-your-face, achieved the ultimate: the United States Presidency. I'm afraid De Niro may be suffering from Small Man Syndrome.
Another reason is that the media, which is primarily left-wing, has controlled the masses with propaganda, and here comes this outsider who brought out the emotion of fear not only with politicians but throughout mainstream media. It has gotten so extreme that some don't hold back their desire for Trump to be assassinated. The ruling class doesn't want to lose their wealth and their power.

The authors discuss the Locus of Control, a psychological phenomenon in which people believe the extent to which they have control over their lives. Philip Zimbardo introduced this concept into mainstream psychology in his 1985 book Psychology and Life.
There are two types of locus control, external and internal. Most often, the external locus of control is individuals who are more left-leaning and more apt to be steeped in woke culture, and the focus is on outside factors. According to this model, people who function depend on outside factors for their life experiences. They tend to not attend religious institutions because they relate to outside factors. The result is that they tend to play the victimhood card. They are also most susceptible to the propaganda machine of the media. In this day and age, it means being anti-Trump.
People who function with an external locus of control will accept at face value what they are told by the media. With the press whipping up the TDS hysteria, it can result in extreme reactions. We've seen this in family members and friends ceasing to interact merely because they can't tolerate some member being a Trump voter. I know of people who attended psychologists because of their extreme animus towards Donald Trump. They don't know Trump as a human being, and he is not directly involved with their lives, yet they have emotional breakdowns. This psychosis is happening on a massive scale.
As people mature, they develop a more internal locus of control. These individuals are usually more right-wing politically, though exceptions exist, like De Niro. Those with an internal locus of control produce children; they attend religious institutions and have a greater sense of self and less dependency on external factors. They also have less psychological distress and depression, earn more income and score better on IQ tests. The bottom line is they have more control over their personal lives and don't succumb to victimhood. They certainly don't let Donald Trump run their lives.
TDS will not go away anytime soon, even if he wins the election. In fact, it will probably intensify with mass psychosis on full display, which could spill over into violence.
